New Manager Boot Camp

APEI would like to invite members to attend the New Manager Boot Camp which will be held October 23rd and 24th at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown. This training is geared towards individuals with new supervisory duties, though more experienced managers and HR personnel will also benefit from the information.
The two-day seminar will focus on a variety of management and employment related topics, including:
- Effective Communications for Managers
- New Employee Orientation
- Documenting Employment Actions
- Performance Appraisals
- Addressing Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying
- Resolving Conflict
- The Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Workers’ Compensation
APEI will cover the cost of two nights of accommodations at the Marriott (limited to two attendees per member) and breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. Training will be held from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM each day.

Immediately following training on the 24th, APEI will hold its Annual Membership Meeting. Training attendees are encouraged to attend the Membership Meeting, where information regarding APEI’s financial condition and loss control programs and services will be presented.
